Restart a Database

To restart your database, navigate to the Management Launcher at the upper right corner, and select Restart Database from the drop-down menu. Please note:

Execution time of this operation depends on the size of the dataset.
The downtime will depend on the time that process takes to stop and start the database.
Any configuration added to this database will get applied during this operation.

A modal window will show, where you'll need to click on Confirm button to complete this operation.

You can follow the restart operation progress in the Operations tab.

Important

Restarting the database will involve a cache warmup time, causing first request's time response to be increased after the restart. You can find more info about the cache performance in the Neo4j official documentation.
